Artists In Partnership: Long Island Artists, Nassau County Artists, Long Beach artists, Long Beach Cultural Arts

AIP has produced four multi-cultural arts festivals, four cabaret festivals, a series of educative arts panel discussions (“Conversations on the Arts”), master class/ workshops, “Share Your Art” events and various networking programs offered free to the public. In 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006 AIP produced a memorial tribute to 9-11, as requested by the library, in which various art forms were utilized to honor and celebrate our heroes and freedom.AIP has developed partnerships with AMVETS and the Breast Cancer Coalition as artistic judges of children’s literary and visual work.

Through an invitation to business merchants to partner with AIP, a temporary art gallery was donated and set up in a vacant store on Park Avenue for 6 months in 2002, and visual exhibits and a book signing were scheduled. Local establishments regularly highlight various AIP members’ work on their walls.

Events for 2007 include an eleven-day ArtsFest highlighting cultural arts activities in various venues, beginning with AIP's Annual Cabaret Festival on May 17th and ending with AIP's Twilight Festival & Concert with Artist Booths on May 29th. A readers’ theatre, an art auction, and a literary festival are looking for sponsors with more partnering between business, schools, and the city anticipated. A ”First Night Long Beach” celebration for New Years Eve is in the talking stages, as well as long-range plans for a permanent Arts Center.
