ART IN THE PLAZA
The City of Long Beach and Kennedy Plaza will be host to local artist booths every Sunday in the summer starting May 16, 2010. Similar to the current Farmers Market, the Artist Market will encourage sales of artwork from local artist vendors. Membership in one of the art organizations is required, so check out AIP membership for participation. AIP members, Scott Evers, will be coordinating the event.

Artists in Partnership is a NON-Profit organization that is dedicated to fostering a partnership between the arts and the community in order to:

- raise the visibility of the arts in Long Beach, New York and the surrounding area, support current efforts and create new avenues of collaboration, and develop venues for exhibits and performance

- unite our artists (literary, performing, and visual) in a unique creative network and assist in getting their talents seen and shared with the community

- bring other segments of the population (individual patrons, business, library, educational institutions, and governmental agencies) into the dialogue so that all the arts can gain support.
